Coming 2016

With the year coming to a close soon, I want to talk about the new books that will be coming in 2016.  First and foremost, after a three year wait, will be Cirque Macabre #2: The Vanishing Act. I already got the cover for it and plan to have it edited this weekend. Its release date will probably be towards the middle of January.
Following this will be Taming the Thief. This is a standalone book that is romance with erotica sprinkled throughout it. It will be for 18+ audiences. I also have the cover for this too and am wrapping the book up. This one is due around Valentine’s day.
Then come the spring releases, Ghosts of Burning Inn #2: A Taste of Fame and The Sugar Mountain Murders: A Mary Beth Pearson Mystery (Portman’s Creamery). They’ll be in April and May respectively.
I only have one thing planned for summer and that’s Last Dance of the Roses, another romance novel. It is also standalone. I’m thinking it’ll be out early July (If I can finish it fast enough).
Fall 2016 is pretty open but I do have a feeling Operation: Genome #2: The Anti-Genome Group will come out in November.
So here’s the list of what’s to come:
Cirque Macabre #2 – mid-late Jan 2016
Taming the Thief – February 2016
Ghosts of Burning Inn #2 – April 2016
The Sugar Mountain Murders – May 2016
Last Dance of the Roses – July 2016
Operation: Genome #2 – November 2016
You’ll notice I haven’t put Patterns & Parallels or TRA on there. Truth be told, I don’t know when they will come out. I also don’t think we’ll have more than that one PC book or any Flavors of Love next year. Now that’s not set in stone, things can change.

To catch up with any of the books, check out my author pages:
I hope you all have a great New Years Eve.

New maps and some changes

First off, some more maps of the Patterns & Parallels world. These were made by nhatlink and are also beautiful. I love seeing how people interpret my worlds and how different both maps were. Honestly, if you want to make me happy, artwork of my books (or of things I like) is the best way to do so.

Also, I've made some tentative changes to my 2016 books coming out. This is the tentative schedule for new books.
Cirque Macabre #2: The Vanishing Act (Jan 2016)
The Sugar Mountain Murders: A Mary Beth Pearson Mystery (Feb 2016)
Ghosts of Burning Inn #2: A Taste of Fame (April/May 2016)
Taming the Thief (July 2016)

Now that's for the first half of 2016. Second half of 2016 is left to be seen. I'm hoping to wrap up TRA #3: In the Blood during that time and release Operation: Genome #2: The Anti-Genome Group. There may also be another PC book. I think that may be it for new books. I doubt I will have a Flavors of Love in 2016 as I did two in 2015. Not to mention, this next book is the beginning of a longer arc here. Patterns & Parallels #3 is also up in the air.

Anyway, that's it for now. More news to come!

New art and freebies

First thing…check out the new official art of the Patterns & Parallels world. Actually, this is made by Renflowergraphix and looks pretty much what I imagined of it. I’m getting another map made, which will be the map the characters use. Yes, all of this will make sense when book three of P&P is out. It’s just so pretty and I’ve already order a poster of it! I plan to get more done (yes, I am allowed. I got permission) to give away and give at signings :D
Number two…freebie week started today. Each day, a book of mine will be free for a few days till the 27th. Make note of when these things are free.
12/19 – 12/20
A Pile of Bones
Hearts Under Ice
Wrapped in Death and Chocolate
Secrets Under the Big Top

Updates on current works:
Ghosts #2: 50K (moving to ‘complete’ pile now)
PC #5: 21K
TRA #4: 7K
Taming: 32K
P&P #3: 28K
PC #6: 5K

So now it’s a question of which book that’s ‘complete’ that should get out first. We’ll see though.

New updates

Well, a few things have happened since I last posted. The first main thing is that The Dangers of Art is going to be turned into an audiobook. So that means five of my books will be audiobooks by 2016! I’ve heard it so far and it’s great! The due date is my birthday (January 12th) but it may be done sooner. I’m really looking forward to it.
The second is that I have a few freebies starting today.
The Dangers of Art is free today and tomorrow. It’s the newest Portman’s book.
Hearts Under Ice will be free on the 21st and 22nd to celebrate one year of publishing. Wrapped in Death and Chocolate will be very the latter half of that week (23rd to 25th).
Thirdly, Cirque Macabre #2 has reached the 50K mark and is more or less done. Since this is a long time waiting, I will release this around late January/early February of 2016. I’ll have a synopsis for that later. If you want to catch up with it, here’s book one. It picks up right where book one ended:
Fourth, the current updates:
Ghosts #2: 45K (next to be done)
P&P #3: 25K
Taming the Thief: 28K
Flavors of Love #3: 15K (was revamped and turned around)
Portman’s #5: 20K
Portman’s #6: 5K
TRA #4: 4K
Some of these books will move out of this list soon.
Fifth, I am going to Norfolk next year for SASS 2016. I’m about 90% sure of this. Details coming.
Stay tuned for more news to come!

Year End Reflection

Even though it's technically not the end of the year, I'm done with writing for the year. New books won't come out until 2016. I've got some great stuff on the way. One of the anticipated ones is the sequel to Cirque Macabre. It's nearing the end and I hope I can have that out by February. I know it's been three years but I'm praying it's worth the wait.

This year was an interesting year for writing. It was the year of sequels. I completed sequels to the following series': The Reaper's Apprentices, Flavors of Love, and Patterns and Parallels. I also wrote a lot of book in the Portman's Creamery series. In additon to Stacey's first case, we got Pippa and Becca's first cases out. Another new addition was the start of a rock romance, Ghosts of Burning Inn (and my first erotica series, Flavors of Love). I also finished Operation: Genome #2 (out next year) and nearing the end to both, Cirque Macabre #2 and Ghosts of Burning Inn #2.

A few other things that happened includes the addition of audiobooks. I worked with some amazing people who were incredible in the whole process and I thank them dearly. I would love to work with all of you again. There's a different feel when you hear your own words. You're in awe of the fact that you wrote all that.

Other things that happened was my signing in Greenville. Such a great event with great people. I loved that it was close to home for a change too. Even though it happened right after a tragedy, I'm glad I was able to go. The summer/autumn of this year really beat me down emotionally. Fortunately, I had all this to keep all those demons at bay.

My books can be found at the following places:

New short post

I’ve been very behind on stuff here but I’m just making an update on the latest PC book. It comes out on the 8th! I’ve also got some events coming up. It’s Becca’s first book. This is the last book of the year so yay for that. Nothing else coming in December but this!
Preorder links:
Updates on works:
Ghosts #2: 37K
Cirque #2: 41K
P&P #3: 22K
PC #5: 15K
TRA #4: 1K
As you can see that I’ve added some newer stuff. As some books near the 50K mark, I remove them from the list because they are at the finishing line (though not technically finished). I’ve got so much planned for 2016. I’ll let you know of them soon!

Short mini vacation

I’m leaving tomorrow for the mountains so I won’t be around to bother you all during Thanksgiving! However, all my books everywhere are on sale for Black Friday! (I think I will also have some freebies or books where you can set the price on SW)
Check em out!

If you want to see my mountain and vacation photos, feel free to follow on instagram! Rest assured, I will be taking pics!

I will try to write some while I’m away but no guarantees. Hence I will do some of it before I leave.

Happy Thanksgiving!

New Portman's Creamery available for preorder!

Pre-order live on Kindle and Smashwords!
I have another Portman’s Creamery book up! This one has been written for a while, I just took sweet time to release it. It’s a Becca mystery. The next one that follows in January will be a Mary Beth mystery and then a Winky one.
The Portman’s Creamery mysteries are all standalones so you can start with this one if you wish. They don’t follow a timeline so you don’t have to know anything in advance. The book officially releases December 8th. It’s only 99 cents if you preorder now!

I’ll return with a better post tomorrow.

Saturday, November 14, 2015

First thing to note is that we have the pre-order for Distant Love now! The book itself releases on November 27th.
The pre-order for my new book, Distant Love, isNOW live! While it is the second book in the Flavors of Love series, you don’t need to read book one to understand book two. Yes, it is erotica. 18+
Currently, it’s really up on Amazon and Smashwords. I’ll post other places when they come up.
CAN: product/B017XXKI3U?*Version*=1&*entries*=0
Secondly, I’ve gotten a glimpse of the new Portman book’s cover and it is sick as always! We just haveONE more thing to take care of and then that will be out too. Most likely, it’ll be out around December. It just depends how quickly I can get it formatted.
Third, the updates:
Cirque Macabre #2: 30K
TRA #3: 48K
Ghosts #2: 30K
Taming: 24K (Slowed down on this)
FoL #3: 25K
I’m trying toGET back into the groove. My writing has slowed down a bit but I will work hard and get it back.

November is here

November has rolled in and I haven’t updated until now. I do apologize. I’ve been trying to get back on track with so many things. A lot has happened since my last update and I think I’m almost back to where I want to be. Bit by bit, I’ll start updating on stuff.
First off, Flavors of Love #2 is with the formatter and is expected back to me by November 12th. The book will probably come out around November 25th. Perfect for all you Black Friday shoppers. I was already planning on it coming out then. I’m waiting on my cover for the next PC book. Then I’ll be done with books for this year.
Secondly, I have finished PC book #4. It’s called The Sugar Mountain Murders and it’s Mary Beth’s first mystery. Despite having finished it, I’m not releasing it until next year. I suspected this would be the first book I released and it turns out that I’m right. With this book out of the way, I can focus on new stuff.
Speaking of new stuff, I have started a standalone novel called Taming the Thief. Originally, I was going to make it my NaNo project but I ended up hitting 10K before November 1st. Oops. It will be romance/erotica. That’s all I’m really going to mention regarding it. My goal is to hit 50K on this book before November ends. I’ll probably release it next year as well.
Updates on books:
TRA #3: 45K (probably the next one to be finished)
Ghosts #2: 30K
Flavors of Love #3: 23K
Taming: hitting 20K soon
P&P #3: Stalled at 21K until further notice
Cirque #2: Stalled at 27K, will try to break out of it
If you want to catch up with Flavors of Love, check out book one. It explains where a lot of stuff started:
One last thing and it’s that Four of the Usual Suspects is finally out on audio. It’s only two hours long, which makes it great for those long commutes.
All right, I think I covered everything. I’ll be back later.

Happy Halloween, everyone.
I apologize for my lack ofUPDATING last week. My grandmother passed away last Friday, then I had SASS, and now we have to deal with the wake. As a result, I have been extremely busy and I’ve had to push some things behind. I will try to get to everything this weekend. For those waiting on answers from me, I will get them to you. I promise.
First thing on the agenda, SASS is over and it was a fantastic time. It was just what needed especially after the sudden news. I enjoyed meeting everyone and I’m pretty much out of my swag now (save for lots of Lengths of Love bookmarks and postcards). Pictures will beCOMING SOON. Let me get through the wake first and I promise things will be back to normal.
Second news, both Sweet Love and Four of the Usual Suspects are on Audible now! The latter is a short book so it will be great for those of you who take long trips or have a long commute during work. I’m also putting a link to both audiobooks so you can check them out. I also have freeAUDIOBOOKcodes so if anyone wants one, drop me a line!
Sweet Love:
Four of the Usual Suspects:
I have HalloweenFREEBIES! Since it is Halloween, how about two paranormalFREEBIES? Both The Reaper’s Apprentices books are free on Kindle today and tomorrow. You can also get them from Smashwords as well.
The Contracts:
Finally, the most important piece of news. I’ve started a new work HOWEVER it is not part of a series. This book is an erotica book, it’s standalone, and I will try to write it in a month. I will give details on it tomorrow. I wanted to do it for NaNo but the idea would not leave me alone so I started it early. Oops. Therefore, we may possibly have this out by December. However, there is no guarantee on that. If I can’t get it out by Christmas, the definitely by January.
Well, I’ve got to get back to writing. Do not worry. I’m still working on my other things. I hit 42K on the newPC book so there is that!

Signing and new audiobook.

Well, I’m all packed and ready for SaSS#15 tomorrow. Yes, I’m going in the morning since the town is only two hours away. I’m bringing Wrapped, Ghosts #1, The Contracts, Hearts Under Ice, Paper Hearts, Sweet Love, Cirque Macabre, and Lengths for Love with me. I left my Easter basket at work so I got a Halloween bucket instead and I’m raffling away a bunch of stuff in it; candy, two of my books, bookmarks, postcards, lip balms, other swag, and 3 free audiobooks for the winner.
I’m a little burned out as well because my grandmother passed away last night so it’s hard to be both excited and sad at the same time. I’m still coming though! It’s too late to back out now.
After what felt like eternity, Sweet Love’sAUDIOBOOK is finally out!
For the ebook, it’s also here too:
That’s about it for now. I will have pictures tomorrow!
